Membership

Applicants for Active Membership to the Orcas Island Sportsmen Club must be 16 years of age or older and have an interest in common with the aims and purposes of the Club.

The term “sportsmen” is used throughout in a generic sense and is not intended to be gender specific; therefore, the term conveys the inclusion of women as well as minors of both genders. We are non-partisan, non-sectarian, and we are race, religion, creed, and gender neutral.

Applicants shall submit an application for membership on the downloadable application included on this website or on a form provided by a club member, together with the initiation fee and one year’s dues. The approval or rejection of applicants will be determined by a vote of the Executive Committee and the respective applicants will be advised accordingly.

Youths under the age of 16 may become members as determined on a case by case basis.

OISC Aims and Purposes

1. To promote camaraderie and good fellowship among our members while
    emphasizing that all sport shooting, hunting and fishing be consistent with
    the conservation of our natural resources.

2. To be as family oriented and all inclusive as possible.

3. To foster the education of our members and particularly of our youth in matters
    of conservation, sportsmanship, marksmanship and the safe use of firearms.

4. To provide a local forum for the exchange of ideas and knowledge.

Membership dues cover the period from January 1st through December 31st and are as follow:

Everyone's renewals are due on January 1st.
